This school ‘multi-purpose building’, located in Auckland and completed in 2022, is an all-in-one sports hall, auditorium, theatre and function venue. It also features a café.
The building is noted for its translucency, which the community finds very inviting.
The cantilevered roof was designed to minimise glare and heat gain in summer while allowing solar access in winter. It also provides an outdoor gathering space which effectively doubles the floor area.
The design engenders low energy use and is human-centred.
We strongly believe that development should be regenerative – improving outcomes for both the environment and for people.
