Information
The Istanbul Financial Center (IFC) project is designed to establish Istanbul as a regional and global financial hub on approximately 300,000 sqm. It will host key public institutions, including the Central Bank, Ziraat Bank, Halk Bank, and Vakıflar Bank, alongside regulatory bodies like the CMB and BRSA and various private sector entities.
Emlak Konut plays a central role in this development. Following the presentation of our Master Plan to the Council of Ministers in late 2011, our Company was officially appointed by the Ministry in June 2012 as the Project Executor and Consulting Firm for the "Special Project Area, Recreation Areas, and Common Infrastructure."
We immediately initiated the Urban Design Project, commissioning foundational reports—including a Design Handbook from HOK International and an Engineering Report from ARUP. These studies were distributed to all stakeholders in July 2012, formally commencing the project preparation process.
The core urban design philosophy utilizes a "city wall" structure. Building blocks are strategically placed on the perimeter of each island to create large, protected common green areas in the center. This approach ensures clearly defined streets, eliminates unsafe or undefined open spaces, and fosters a dynamic, secure urban texture that defines the city.
