Timber-Hybrid-Construction Sustainability Circular Design
Hideaway. With the Trube-Becker-Haus, a centre for child protection and a contact point for victims of (domestic) violence is being built at the University Hospital in Düsseldorf. The functions previously housed in different buildings - the Social Paediatric Centre (SPC), the legal medical outpatient clinic for victims of violence and the Childhood House Düsseldorf - will be sensitively combined in one building. The design envisages a building composition of four closely spaced houses, using the classical form of the residential house as a leitmotif for a protective building. Playful forms, natural materials and soft colours create a pleasant atmosphere in the sustainable timber hybrid building.
