nicholas at Bahrain Bay This is a proposal for Bahrain Bay’s commercial hub for CapitaLand. It is a true ‘15-minute city’, a fully integrated mixed-use development which drives the sustainability agenda by providing most residents’ needs on site and thereby reducing commuter traffic. Included in the mix are apartments, offices, retail, serviced apartments, a 5-star hotel and a mosque. The design is organised around a major waterfront civic space with restaurants, solar shading and wind scoops to capture the sea breeze. The development is seamlessly connected to the rest of Bahrain Bay by walking and cycling, making it both environmentally- and human-centred. We strongly believe that development should be regenerative – improving outcomes for both the environment and for people. nicholas.design

Nicholas is an acclaimed building designer, and his projects have won numerous Arabian Property Awards and MIPIM Awards including Best Marina Design, Best High-Rise Architecture and Best Office Development.  His recent education work won the Learning Environments NZ Supreme Award for 2022.  He was Middle East Architect’s Architect of the Year for 2008.
