nicholas design schools, universities and educational facilities This school ‘multi-purpose building’, located in Auckland and completed in 2022, is an all-in-one sports hall, auditorium, theatre and function venue. It also features a café. The building is noted for its translucency, which the community finds very inviting. The cantilevered roof was designed to minimise glare and heat gain in summer while allowing solar access in winter. It also provides an outdoor gathering space which effectively doubles the floor area. The design engenders low energy use and is human-centred. We strongly believe that development should be regenerative – improving outcomes for both the environment and for people. nicholas.design

Nicholas is an acclaimed building designer, and his projects have won numerous Arabian Property Awards and MIPIM Awards including Best Marina Design, Best High-Rise Architecture and Best Office Development.  His recent education work won the Learning Environments NZ Supreme Award for 2022.  He was Middle East Architect’s Architect of the Year for 2008.
