Information

To qualify for the residency program in Malta, the investor must meet certain financial criteria, including having a net worth of at least €500,000, with a minimum of €150,000 in the form of financial assets. The investor can choose to buy a property in central Malta worth at least €350,000 EUR, or a property worth at least €300,000 EUR if it is located in Gozo or southern Malta. Ownership of the property must be held for a minimum of 5 years. Additionally, the client has to pay a Government contribution of €28,000 plus a donation of €2,000 to a local NGO registered with the Commissioner of Voluntary Organizations. Alternatively, the investor can choose to rent a property, with rental rates starting from €12,000 EUR per year for central Malta or €10,000 EUR per year for Gozo or southern Malta. Rental properties must be held for five years. Additionally, the client has to pay a Government contribution of €58,000 plus a donation of €2,000 to a local NGO registered with the Commissioner of Voluntary Organizations. In both cases whether Purchasing or renting, the client has to pay a non-refundable administrative fee of €40,000.
